Responsible for the complete structural analysis and design of new 4 story Masonry/Steel Frame Building including design of foundation system and Earth Retention System. Responsibilities include preparation of structural calculations and structural plans as part of construction documents.
- Masjid Al Huda, Schaumburg, IL
(Expansion of Community center, 3-Story Masonry/Steel Building)
Responsible for the complete structural analysis and design of new 3 story Masonry Building as part of the facility expansion project including design of new foundation system, new Minarets and Domes. Responsibilities also include Civil Engineering and storm water design for the completely new parking layout. Responsibilities include of detailed structural & civil engineering calculations and civil/structural plans as part of construction documents.

(Master Plan/Expansion of Existing Community Center Building)
Responsible for the master planning, and design of additional 150 parking spaces including a 87000 CU.FT. Underground Detention system. Master plan include a 42000 SQ FT Gymnasium/Multi Purpose Facility. Responsibilities also include the modification/addition to the existing building as part of the 3-story design/build project. Responsibilities include of detailed structural and civil engineering calculations and civil/structural plans as part of construction documents. Prepared and managed As-Built Plans and surveys.

Responsible for the structural rehab of the existing buildings including masonry repairs, existing structural evaluation for new heavy imposed loads, long span roof structure. Prepared the detailed calculations for proposed structural repair system and provide complex structural details.

Responsible for the structural design of residential single family and multi units, rehab of the existing residential buildings including masonry repairs, structural inspection of existing building s and structures, accidental damage inspections and repairs. responsibilities include preparation of structural calculations and reports.

Vice President, Chief Structural Engineer (April 2009 to June 2013)
- Wells Street Bascule Bridge, Chicago Department of Transportation
Project Structural Engineer responsible for analysis and design of multiple components of the Wells Street Bascule Bridge, including the upper-level CTA framing supporting the CTA tracks, lower-level roadway framing, sidewalk framing, and rehabilitation of the bridge pits and bridge houses. The project involved the reconstruction of the Wells Street Bascule Bridge, carrying north Wells Street and the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Brown Line over the main branch of the Chicago River in Chicago, Illinois. The work consisted of the complete replacement of the upper-level framing supporting the CTA tracks, lower-level roadway framing and grating, sidewalk framing and grating, and rehabilitation of the bridge pits and bridge houses.
- Municipal Code Compliance Review Developer Services
Chicago Department of Buildings
Review Structural Engineer responsible for the structural building code reviews and approvals required for the procurement of building permits. Includes management of interdisciplinary consultants and liaison responsibilities between the project designers, project reviewers, and the City of Chicago. The projects vary from multi-unit residential buildings to retail developments to high-rise structures. Over 400 projects have been completed to date.
- Various Bridge Inspections
CDOT – Biennial Bridge Inspections
Project Manager performed structural bridge inspections and prepared bridge inspection reports, IDOT forms, status memos, and bridge maintenance request forms for multiple bridges. The project involved the biennial bridge inspection for three hundred seventy bridges located in the City of Chicago. The project also included special inspections, fracture critical inspections, monitoring of critical structures and inspection of electrical and mechanical systems.
Metra – Northeast Regional Commuter Railroad Corporation
Project Structural Engineer/Team Leader responsible for railroad bridge inspections and reports including three bridges on the Metra Southwest Services Line, one bridge on the Milwaukee District North Line over the Chicago River and two bridges over the Des Plaines and Fox Rivers on the Milwaukee District West Line.
- I-80 Phase I and II – Ridge Road to US 30-Will County, Illinois Department of Transportation
Senior Structural Engineer responsible for BCR and Phase I Bridge Inspections for various bridges on I-80 within the project limits. Also responsible for overseeing structural engineering services to prepare interim Phase II Bridge repair plans including structural repair plans, special provisions, quantities and engineers estimate of probable cost for several structures. The project involved the study of I-80 from Ridge Road to U.S. Route 30 to determine current and future transportation needs of the corridor.
- Bridge Deck Delamination Survey,
Illinois Department of Transportation
Project Manager work included data collection, Infrared Thermography scans, pavement cores, concrete core chloride tests, visual inspection of the underside of deck, preparation of drawings, and a report identifying areas of delamination/spalls for necessary concrete deck patching/repairs. The project involved bridge deck delamination surveys for various bridge deck structures located throughout central Illinois. A total of six surveys were performed, a final report of the findings complied.

Chief Structural Engineer (July 2001 to March 2009)
- National Street Station (Metra)
Project consists of Depot Building and Shelter structure.
Responsible for the structural analysis and design of Depot (Station) Building and Shelter frame. Prepared the final contract plans. Responsibilities also include the preparation of cost estimates.
- Modification to Roosevelt Road Suburban Station (Metra)
Responsible for the structural analysis and design of pedestrian bridge using 3D Finite Element Computer Program STAADIII using tension only bracing system, quantity/ cost estimation and preparation of specification. Evaluated the feasibility of different structural alternates. Prepared the final contract plans.
- Burlington Warren Avenue Bridge/Pump Station (Metra)
Project Structural Engineer provided engineering and design services for the BNSF Railroad/Belmont Road grade separation. Responsibilities included for complete analysis and design of Burlington/Warren Bridge over Belmont Road and also managed/supervised the preparation of construction documents, specifications and cost estimates.
- Wacker Drive Reconstruction
Chicago Department of Transportation
Responsible for the structural analysis and design of east and west stair using the existing beams as stair foundation as part of Contract ‘C’. Reviewed the contract drawings and prepared the cost estimate. Responsible for structural analysis, design and review of Grade Beam, detailing of deck slabs and end beams for north-south portion of the project as part of Contract ‘D’.
- Wabash Avenue Trunnion Bascule Bridge over Chicago River
Chicago Department of Transportation
Responsible for the structural analysis and design of shoring system for the rehabilitation of Wabash Ave. Bascule Bridge north and south leaf cantilever trusses for open and close positions. Also responsible for design of new platform and a very complex load balancing of the bridge trusses during and after rehabilitation. Prepared the detailed contract plans for shoring structure and platform structure, quantity estimation and reviewed the structural plans.
- Lake Shore Drive Reconstruction

- Responsible for the structural design and preparation of contract plans for Underpasses at 59th, 63rd, Marquette Dr. and retaining walls, also prepared the cost estimates for underpasses and retaining walls.
- Responsible for the structural design and preparation of final contract plans for Pump Station Structures at 59th and 63rd street as part of Contract # 2. Responsibilities also include the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for Pump Station Structures at 59th and 63rd.
- Responsible for the structural design and preparation of final contract plans for Junction Structures located at multiple locations as part of Contract # 1 and Contract # 2. Responsibilities also include the preparation of cost estimates for Junction Structure.
- Chicago Public Schools – Structural Renovations at Prosser Academy
Responsible for providing structural engineering services for the repair and replacement of roofing and masonry walls of Prosser Academy’s Gymnasium. Built in 1959, the two lateral masonry enclosing walls have deteriorated sand no longer provide adequate bracing for the long span steel column and truss structure.There are other areas where it is suspected that there is insufficient lateral bracing for single story structures causing further masonry deterioration. Scope of work involves:
- Analysis and design of new gymnasium wall
- Analysis and design of new steel lintels at various locations for different window and door openings,
- Analysis and design of lateral wall bracing and support at the top of the existing interior walls
GENERAL TECHNOLOGIES, Karachi, Pakistan
Project Structural Engineer (November 1997 to December 2000)
- PARCO (Pak – Arab Oil Refinery)
Project consists of 5 circular oil storage tank foundations and retaining walls.
Responsible for structural analysis and design of ring foundations (for worst loading and soil conditions) ranging from 110 ft diameter to 220 ft diameter, supervised the preparation of final contract plans and quantity/cost estimation.
- Private University College at Bausher, Oman
Project consists of different buildings including Academic Block, Library Block, Shops and Cafeteria Block and Administration Block. Responsible for detailed structural analysis and design of these building structures for wind and seismic forces per UBC 97. Supervised the preparation of final contract plans.
- Crack Study for Fisheries Harbor at Korangi, Karachi
Responsible for crack monitoring during various time intervals to find the effects of daily and seasonal temperature variations, sea water and construction and expansion joint spacing on the Harbor Deck. Developed the plans for existing crack patterns. Take the cores on severely cracked locations to find the crack depth, corrosion of reinforcement and concrete deterioration. Proposed crack control measures including the selection of crack sealing compounds and replacement of deteriorated concrete and rebars.
- ECPL’s PVC Pipe Manufacturing Facility, Pakistan
Project consists of main manufacturing facility with shell roof and office building. Responsible for structural analysis and design of the office building, underground water tanks and trench structure. Supervised the preparation of final contract plans, prepared the quantity/cost estimate and project specifications and contract documents.
- 40 MW APL/AWT Power Plant, Pakistan
Responsible for structural analysis and design of the main building roof structural system, 145’ high Steel Chimney structure. Supervised the preparation of final contract plans, prepared the quantity/cost estimate and project specifications and contract documents.
- Transmission Antenna Towers
Responsible for structural analysis and design of different transmission antenna towers structure of different heights (75’- 275’). Supervised the preparation of shop drawings, quantity/cost estimation.
